2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
“Oh woe is me! Everything is falling apart, is God really still with me?”
The stories and lamentations go on and on ….… Jeremiah re-incarnates.
Why do bad things happen to good people…it should be smooth sailing after all
So many ordeals and hurdles to scale with no possibility of achievement in sight
No hope in these hopeless situations, we live in a fallen world
Friend and family have abandoned you; brethren are no-where to be found
Like Job’s friends, they feel and say, you must have done something wrong to deserve ALL these calamities that befall you.
TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, He has a reason for ALLOWING that which we pass through
It boosts your faith and experience; you grow matured when you accept His ways…good or bad
Remember Job and Joseph (of the coat of many colours) both were in different situations of painful persecution which turned around to great victory and multiple blessings eventually
Job stepped up to another level in faith, while Joseph stepped up out of the PIT into the PALACE
The two making necessary impact on their way and in their destined purpose on Earth
God needs you to be hot and on fire for Him, lukewarm candidates are not eventually selected
Your faith is groomed in trials and tribulations to the level of the 3 Hebrew boys in the book of Daniel
They believed and trusted their God to the point of (threatened) death…faith unshakeable
I say your problem is really not a problem, THE RAIN FALLS ON THE JUST AND THE UNJUST
Most of the time the adversity that befalls you is not because you are doing something wrong, the devil troubles those who are a threat to his grand plan to lead all of human kind to hell
When your light shines the brightest, EXPECT STORMS OF SORROW!
When you are no threat the devil does not bother about you
Do not allow your tests and trials to steal your joy, it is not worth it, God’s purpose is always divine!
Make a list in your head or on paper about the situations that you would like to quickly get out of
Now tick them of as you read and compare this to the news within and outside the church
That which happens in your immediate environment and on another side of the Globe
You shall see, it cannot be compared to the man who is tortured and imprisoned for his faith and belief in Jesus Christ
Those who have to daily device means to meet in fellowship to sustain their faith encouraging one another
Imagine those in the field of war and turmoil, distributing bible at the risk of their lives and attack even from those that they are trying to save from eternal death
The hurt, disappointment and lies that have been bombarding your life lately SHALL NOT DISTURB ALL THINGS WORKING TOGETHER FOR YOUR GOOD according to God’s plan.
The doctor has called you in for the result of that exam that you had and IT IS NOT GOOD
Your boss has given you that dreaded letter to say, that’s the end of your contract, no more job
Your close friend of several years has eventually been seen as the double –faced hypocrite that he is……..been the one selling-you-out all this while creating unbelievable trouble and hardships in your life
God closes unnecessary doors, cuts-off unproductive relationships, opens doors that lead us on our true destined pathways
Your crisis is not a surprise to God, do not fall apart in it, He has a purpose for this seeming set-back in your life….THIS TOO SHALL PASS!
1 Peter 3:10-17
“ He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
11 Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil.”
Suffering for Right and Wrong
13 And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”] 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
View your adversity as an opportunity to show the God in you, He says REJOICE in ALL situations
Come to the place of trust, unshaken faith in the God of the heavens and the earth that knows all things and owns all things and CAN do all things
YOU SHOULD CLING TO THAT OLD RUGGED CROSS
WHICH ONE DAY SHALL BE EXCHANGED FOR A CROWN
Let your life tell the ‘good ‘story of the gospel of Jesus Christ
JOHN3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes shall not perish but have eternal life
For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
