HOW REVELATION WORKS 2
An old Jewish proverb says “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Revelation starts the process of changing your life by changing your thought. This is because the quality of your life is a product of the quality of your thoughts.
When I was in my second year in the University, my Grade Point Average (GPA) slipped to second class (lower division). From then on I tried to get back to second class (upper division). My GPA didn’t budge for 3 years. The turning point came when I deliberately located Scriptures on academic success. One was Proverbs 4:18 which declares “The path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more to the perfect day.” I began to see myself graduating with the upper division of second class. It was only a matter of time. When I collected my certificate, the grade read “Second Class Upper Honors’.”
When God gives you an idea or reveals His Word to you, He plants a seed on your mind. As you meditate on it, it gains ground on your mind. As you agree with what God shows you, it influences how you see your circumstances. When God shows you from 2 Corinthians 8:9 that Christ became poor so that you might be rich, you won’t walk around with a poverty mentality. Your bank account may read zero. But as long as you believe what God has told you, you will see yourself rich. You will see all your material needs being met.
As you receive divine insight, you will see the miracles God sees. The miracles you see in your mind today will become the testimonies you will share tomorrow.
