Often we just can’t understand
Why some things happen the way that they do
Yet we just believe that God knows what is best
So forward we do pursue
Things happen for a reason
As the Lord leads and guides our way
Though some things may seem so bad
God turns them for our good, to our dismay
In God’s infinite wisdom
He sees things so differently
He has plans for the future
With things that neither you nor I can see
We think from the temporal
Yet the Lord is looking through an eternal lens
He has a glorious plan ahead
Though we must travel through some curves and bends
Often times we question
But we need to just realize
That all things are for our good
So we should not, so internalize
We must learn to trust
That He knows what is best
And leave things in His hands
Instead of getting stressed
We worry and fret
We allow the enemies fear
But He will never leave nor forsake us
He has promised to be, always near
We need to just learn to relax
And trust Him with all of our heart
For as we leave things in His hands alone
Then He can do His part
As long as we are in control
Then we bind His hands to move
We must stop trying to play God
That we may win, instead of lose
If we will but cast our cares upon Him
And allow Him to run the show
He will tell us only what we need to hear
As everything, we really just don’t need to know
It’s called a walk of faith
In things we do not see
It is just about total trust
And with our heart, do we honestly, believe?
Things may not go as we thought
We may not even get what we think that we need
But God knows what is best for us
So His Spirit, we must learn, to heed
We will have a peaceful life
If we will just listen and do what He does say
Then we can know all things are for our good
And can honestly say, that all is OK.
