One day within a year of accepting Jesus as my Lord and Saviour I was upstairs. To get downstairs after my bath I had to turn right and descend stairs which began as a narrow corridor. At the top of the stairs I saw an angel of Satan. He reeked of evil. There was not a trace of good anywhere in him. Top to bottom all evil. He was a dark figure and looked quite tall. He was spirit.
There was no pause, I just looked, registered what I was meant to and continued down the stairs through where he stood. He disappeared before I reached the spot where he stood.
There was no fear of him. Jesus must have wanted me to see him to build faith experiences. And to say, "This is what your adversary looks like. Don't fear him. I am with you all the time. Satan and his angels can't hinder you. God can call him in and call him out of your life for His purpose."
So it was an angel from hell. Hell is real. All I thought was "Satan." Therefore he was of Satan but not necessarily the head being called Satan.
Jesus our friend is so much greater and stronger than Satan and his angels. There is nothing God cannot do. Our lives are in God's hands and He is in complete control of our lives though sometimes the invisible God is hard to 'see'.
