SUCCESSFUL BUT DEPRESSED

The quality of man's life is not measured by the what he possesses but by what he is able to do on the sand of time. A quality life is the one that delivers the goods not the one that acquires the wealth.

In the world today, people have different or diverse meaning and understanding of the word “success”.some see it as accumulation of wealth, acquiring different materialistic items like houses, cars, fame and so on. while to some, they see it as making progress or when excelling in a particular job or specialization.

Whatever the case maybe,it is necessary and of utmost importance to truly understand the true meaning of being successful.

What does it mean to be successful?

To be successful, there should be a particular urge or purpose we tend to exhibit and bring into accomplishment.

If you say that success is in the acquiring of wealth or meeting a particular goal, then everyone who is wealthy or specialized in a particular field should be financially secure and happy.

If a person is intelligent, educated and specialized in a particular field, but has not developed his/her area of interest [gift ]or that which he/she is passionate about,he/she is likely to be depressed, frustrated and tired. He/she will hate going to work on Monday morning because he/she is just working for the purpose of getting money which is an inferior purpose for work. Education is not a means to an end in itself but a basic foundation towards an end.

Are you a young person in secondary school or higher institution planning your career? Then you need to do what you were born to do. That is,that which you have passion for. For that is where your success and fulfilment lies. That is what is going to make money for you, don’t do what people recommend would make you wealthy.

It is that which one is highly passionate about, when developed, make room for one in the world. You are unique, you don't have to be an imitation.

True success and happiness is not derived from wealth, accumulation of properties and so on,but rather living to the accomplishment of ones purpose on earth. It is when this is achieved that one can be free from inner depression and be truly satisfied.

SOME GOLDEN RULE TO SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS

There is dignity in labour. Discover your true work and be committed to it. Wealth acquisition or getting famous should not be the first on your vision plan but rather the impact it would have on the society at large. therefore engage in that which you are truly passionate about and not that which people recommend would make you wealthy.

There are hurdles to cross and challenges to overcome. Stay focused.

A vision without prayers is lie an eye without the retina. Pray on your vision religiously

I can really appreciate your words. Before I became chronically ill, I was an OB RN. It's wonderful to have a job that doesn't feel like work. One is truly blessed if she can follow her passion. Watch your capitalization and spacing. You can hit the preview button before you hit submit so you can see little things like that. Personally I don't like he/she. I think it's fine to use the universal he. Another thing you can do is tell it from the first person (I,we). That will also give your work more of a personal feel to it. You definitely show your passion with your words. Keep writing, I like what you have to say!
