Every part of our blessed human body has a particular & unique function and thus if all of them do their duties perfectly we remain a healthy person, however on the contrary when some part are not able to function properly like the hand or feet etc., we conclude the presence of paralysis or the inability to carry on the duties perfectly.
Setting aside the possibility of defective seed, if the sower himself is unwilling to sow the good seed with him, he destroys the opportunity of fruitfulness in the seed and blessedness in his life.
" The sower sows the word." Mark 4:14 (NKJV)
The responsibility of the sower is to sow the Word and he/she needs to do this perfectly in the right time and in the right way.
Jeremiah the prophet could not withhold God's Word in his heart and thus he spake thus....
"Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him,
Nor speak anymore in His name.”
But His word was in my heart like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones;
I was weary of holding it back,
And I could not. " Jeremiah 20:9 (NKJV)
The prophet Jonah tried to run away from his responsibility to preach in Nineveh, however thus God had to bring a mighty storm in the sea, get Jonah thrown away into the sea, get him swallowed by the big fish, send him through a journey of three days and three nights in the belly of the fish and in this process make inactive all the digestive juices in the body of the fish to make sure that Jonah doesn't get digested in the belly of the fish, then God had to speak to the fish and get Jonah vomited on the shore of Nineveh. All this to make Jonah sow his seed (The Word) in Nineveh.
God's purpose in our life is unique and blessed, we need to know it and accomplish it for His glory.
Many of us who have ignored the call of God in our life and still in the process of transition from our run away destination to our God ordained destination.
Jonah knew God, however came to know Him better in the belly of the fish, for this is what he prayed from the most unusual place one could have ever prayed from (from inside the belly of the fish)...
"But I will sacrifice to You
With the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay what I have vowed.
Salvation is of the LORD.”
Jonah 2:9 (NKJV)
Paul explained this wonderfully when he said...
"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" Romans 10:14 (NKJV)
God has set us as a preacher in our own capacity to spread The Blessed good news and as an active and healthy organ in God's body we need to accomplish God's will in our life, we need to function as God intends of us.
