RAY OF HOPE
Have you ever wondered why some folks live in misery; why they live engulfed in fear and resentment? Why they don’t see themselves ever coming out of their predicament; and for every positive word they rebut it with a negative one.
On the other hand have you ever seen or wondered why you have a cheerful folk full of life and vigor even at the point of disappointing circumstances. The difference between these two people is HOPE.
Hope is what keeps you expectant. Hope doesn’t disappoint (Romans5:5). It is what keeps one’s head high even amidst misfortunes. The reason why we believed in Jesus Christ is because at first the Word gave us hope which actioned us into accepting Christ into our hearts. And this hope later matured and became so substantial that we believed it to be true and we began to see what the Word shows, hear what the Word speaks, even though it is not tangible yet in the physical; that is faith! (Hebrews11:1).
A man does not stop living when he dies and is buried; a man ceases to live when he becomes hopeless. A hopeless individual doesn’t see anything good ahead. He sees problems instead of solutions; he sees obstacles instead of a way out. He is disappointed. He is disappointed in himself, his surroundings have disappointed him and society has disappointed him. At least he has a figure to point out at his so called “disappointers”. This is a time to switch sides and activate your hope.
A man who has hope is indeed hopeful. He doesn’t look to the left or to the right but looks ahead for that he is hoping for. This gives you the audacity to start planning and setting up goals and dreams for hope keeps your ambitions awake. Instead of throwing in the towel, you want to conquer. The psalmist puts it so well in Psalm 119:147- I rise before the dawning of the morning and I cry for help; I hope in your word.
Hope is what is giving the Psalmist the energy to wake up before sunrise and start crying for help from the Lord because he has hope in the word of God. He is certain that when he calls God He hears him.
Whatever has been dead in your life; it could be your vision, your dreams, revive it by activating your hope in the Lord and apply it to your life. Why does the Psalmist have hope in God? Verse 148- My eyes are awake through the night watches that I meditate on your Word. Hallelujah- begin to meditate on the word of God, begin to see yourself with Godly kind of approach and you will see yourself revitalized and going an extra mile.
Let us have hope in our lives, in every situation and dark phase always know that the exact opposite of darkness is light, light is coming your way. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void; and darkness was on the face of the earth. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said “Let there be light” and there was light (Genesis 1:1-3). Light was the first thing God spoke out into existence before any living organism because He knew that where there is no light there is no life. God wants you to stay alight.
See yourself as a conqueror and a victor. Jesus conquered all for you. He conquered hopelessness that you may become hopeful.
God bless you
