Rejoice that your names are written in heaven

The seventy two returned in high spirits. They were thrilled that demons had submitted to them.

Jesus however reminded them that they had been given all that authority. He reminded them that they should be more elated by the fact that their names are written in Heaven.

This really applies to us in our day to day lives. So often we are thrilled because we have made a breakthrough. We sort of like limit God to that one particular event. eg landing the job of your dreams.

It is ok to be happy and excited. All God is saying is dont confine me to just one section of your life, the section that has been fulfilled. If your name is written in heaven then you are my child and l am your father. I have so much in store for you. More than you can ever imagine and more than you can ever desire. As it is in Heaven so shall it be here on earth.

God is our Father and he cares for us.
