I hope for this every single day,
And I've taken the time to pray
That you and I would be their heroes,
Their heroes who stand up for the Truth
And teach them how to have a godly youth.
They need to know there's right and wrong,
And they need a faith in Jesus Christ that's strong.
We must instruct them and be their heroes.
Many moms and dads do love their little ones
But know now how to teach their daughters and sons
The ways of the Lord, the God above,
So their children do not know God's love,
But we must show God's love in what we say
And how we live our lives each day.
In this dark world that promotes what's bad,
We must be their heroes--the best they've ever had!
Darling, I need you to be with me on this,
Because this is an opportunity we cannot miss---
A chance to shine Jesus's pure Light
For our children, so they can see what's right.
Let's be their heroes, their heroes that fight
For them, for their very purity,
For their growth--their spiritual maturity!
