The Benefits Of Our Divine Assignment I Samuel 19:1-7
=========================================================
Life is not just about living and dying. There is a purpose, an assignment that God has divinely ordained for us to do. All of us believers have been given an assignment by God. We all need to find out our purpose that God has for us. Life is not about material gain. Until people with riches find out their assignment and purpose in life, they are miserable! These are dead men and women walking because they have not figured out their life’s assignment..
David had figured out his divine assignment and he was in process. Anytime we are moving toward our assignment, the devil will come against us and use people against us. The two things David figured out were to Worship God and to be a Warrior for God. David knew when to praise/worship God and when to fight the devil. When we are going thru mess then this is when we know we are closer to our promotion, our purpose because the devil is messing with us. When we are on assignment, there is a red bulls eye on our chest and the devil is attacking us.
We need to say: We Will Not Be Moved! Tell the devil this!
We have to know when to worship and when to fight. There is power in our worship! We have reasons to give God glory up in this place! Praise the Lord! Think about the goodness of Jesus and all that he has done for us! We’ve taken the best shot that the devil had and we are still here standing! Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!
David was on a divine assignment and he was to become the next King. God showed him this and David was anointed King before he was appointed King. He was going thru the process. We all have to go thru the process before we get to the appointed place. God is developing us in the darkness….in the dark room like photo film is developed in the dark room. We are going thru processing.
When we are in the process stage we get three things from God.
1. Diving Protection
2. Divine Provisions
3. Diving Power
Divine Protection: vs. 19 Saul wanted David dead but Jonathan like David and spoke to Saul on his behalf.. David’s life was saved.
The enemy wants to destroy us but God has protected us! God used Jonathan, Saul’s son, to protect David. Jonathan was a real friend! God will use the most unlikely people to protect us in our situation. When we are on assignment, the enemy cannot destroy us!
No weapon formed against us shall prosper! Our Faith shield stops the devil’s bullets!!
God spares us because there is an assignment on our life! God had Jonathan protecting David against King Saul, his father. They had a covenant relationship and were loyal to each other. Jonathan gave up his position as the next King to make sure David completed his assignment to be the next King. Some of us are assigned to be ladder holders so others can climb the ladder to get to the prizes that all of us will have a share in!
Divine Power: David was Saul’s ladder holder and was later blessed to be the King. If people are too proud to be ladder holders, then God can’t bless them later. David was on assignment and was in God’s secret place. Saul couldn’t touch David!
David was high and Saul was low. Saul was low because of his disobedience. David had this divine power from God. Saul couldn’t kill David! Saul finally realized this and that God had placed David on his assignment. When we are under an assignment from God, we have protection, provisions and power from God.
Praise God!! Thank God!!
AMEN
