O' yes I've seen some troubles,
and yes I've seen some tears,
I've seen my share of sorrows,
throughout my many years,
I seen my loved ones leave me,
to go and stand on Heaven's ground,
but thru it all I still can say,
He's never let me down.
We grew up poor and needy,
made many a shack our home,
we didn't have what others had,
but we were not alone,
see Momma said in Jesus,
that we'd be safe and sound,
so all my life I always knew,
He'd never let me down.
So when your life's so burdened,
that you're prayers bounce off the ground,
remember what I've told you here,
HE'LL NEVER LET YOU DOWN.
