God spoke to the world
“Let there be light”
With only four words
God ended the night
He sprinkled the stars
And added a sun
He created the universe
When once there was none
God made Rocky Mountains
And seas around land
And pearly white beaches
All covered in sand
The oceans made vibrant
With the nod of his head
As corals and reefs
Made up the sea bed
Fish of great beauty
Were plopped into lakes
Tadpoles and ducklings
God also did make
On the vast desert plain
God made the big five
But also the small
Even bees for the hive
In jungles and forests
God made many types
That slithered and squirmed
And went bump in the night
In the north and the south
A chill nipped the air
But God made it perfect
For penguins and bears
Far above all the trees
The birds could be found
Flying and souring
And chirping sweet sounds
God then dressed the stems
In sweet petals of grace
Making bright flowers
To cover earth’s face
God made all of this
For you and for me
A home for his children
For Adam and Eve
