Deep within us all,
Is a storm that rages on.
The winds blow and the rain falls.
There's a call that never ceases.
No matter what the storm does,
We can stand our ground.
Hold fast to our faith.
Choose what our heart tells us.
Don't take this for granted.
Or, with a grain of salt.
Let it be a sure foundation.
Something we can build on.
What we do is the hammer.
The end result what we built.
We cannot control the storms.
Just how we are influenced.
Beaten down. shaken.
Even burned down.
Robbed or violated.
A test of our strength.
Sometimes, the storms never end.
And, we forget that lesson on faith.
The one about the rock and the sand.
During the greatest storms, we can rise.
