Return to the stronghold [of security and prosperity], you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you.
Whatever you feel that you have lost Gods word reminds us that if we will not lose hope, He will restore twice as much as we have lost. In essence God will give us double for our trouble.

Prisoner of Hope (JOSEPH )
We are caught by a hope that won't let us go, a hope that never ends. This hope that I speak of is the hope that endures even through our darkest of moments. We read of many people in our bible who refused to give up, even when their circumstances contradicted the promise that God had given to them. Joseph was a man with many dreams, however the journey toward fulfilling his dream was certainly not accomplished without considerable grief. I firmly believe that the driving force behind his success was an unshakable belief in the God of his father Jacob, and most importantly on his refusal to let go of the HOPE! That his God given dreams will be fulfilled. This hope was what brought Joseph from the prison to the palace. In Psalm 105 v 19 we read that Joseph was tried and tested by the word of the Lord. Joseph had to face the reality of broken dreams, but the remarkable thing about Joseph was his will to still dream even though his circumstances were contrary to it. Joseph faced rejection from his brothers who threw him into the pit, he battled injustice at the hands of Potipha and his wife, but he still held onto his hope in God. The lesson we can grasp from Joseph・s life is, to patiently endure and stay in hope even when the promise or dream seems to have died, Some time ago I watched a movie called tangled and it was about this princess that was captured and locked in a tower by an evil woman, but very year on her birthday at a specific time she would look out her tower and see these floating lanterns light up the night sky. It fascinated and intrigued her so much so that she dreamed and longed to get a closer view of these lanterns, finally one day a young man arrived and she persuaded him to take her to see these magical lanterns, he agrees and they set out on their journey. However towards the end of the movie she is sitting in a boat waiting in anticipation for the moment that these lanterns would light up the sky and she turns to him and says, :I・m scared what if it isn・t what I・ve dreamed of or what would I do once this dream is over; and he looks at her and says :You see that・s the good part, because you get to dream another dream;. Don・t be afraid to dream another dream, don・t be afraid to believe that the best is yet to come and if we will reach out in faith God will perform miracles in and through our lives .In Phil 1 v 6 reminds us that he who has started a good work in us is faithful to complete it. No matter what the trial or circumstance, have Hope in God our father and faith, that what he said about you, will come to pass. Every prophetic word spoken over you will be fulfilled. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who
are the called according to His purpose. When the enemy comes against you, you need to rise up with faith and hope in Christ.

Hope versus fear (JOB)

Job said : the thing I greatly feared has come upon me; Job was a man who never gave up on God, even when his worse nightmare had come to pass, even at the face of such despair he continued to praise God, He still chose to say : though he slay me yet will I trust him;, he still held onto to the hope that God will restore him. Because of his great determination and unwavering faith, God restored to him twice as much as he lost. Just like Job, God is calling each of us to never lose Hope in Him because at the end we will reap if we faint not.

When fear causes you to accept sickness V hope says by his stripes we were made whole (1 Peter 2 v 24 )

When fear causes you to doubt your abilities V hope says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4 v 13)

When the enemy makes you feel that your life is over V hope rises up and states, Christ has come so that we may have life and have it in abundance to the full until it overflows , (John 10 v 10) (amplified version)

When fear causes you to remain in the pit of despair V hope says, ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you--rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! Isaiah 60 v 1(amplified version)

Whose hands are your hopes and dreams in?

When we are facing various trials or even when we are faced with difficult decisions that we have to make, e.g. what is my purpose or calling in the Kingdom of God?, what career should I pursue?, who should I marry?, K etc. one question needs to be answered, whose hands are our hopes, dreams, even our doubts and fears in? I cannot stress the importance of placing your life in the potters (Gods) hands and allow him to fashion you according to what he has destined for you to be.
Hands! ( this message was received via email)

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it's in

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Roger Clemens' hands is worth $4.75 million.
It depends on whose hands it's in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
A tennis racket in Andre Agassi's hands is worth millions.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A rod in my hands will keep away an angry dog.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A slingshot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A slingshot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in Jesus' hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will
produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it's in.

As you see now, it depends on whose hands it's in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your HOPES, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because...
It depends on whose hands it's in.

This message is now in YOUR hands.
What will YOU do with it?

It Depends on WHOSE Hands it's in!

Pressing through broken dreams (RUTH)
When Ruth・s husband had died I・m sure she faced the devastating reality of broken dreams and a sense of hopelessness. She may have had dreams of a happy life with her husband, raising children and building a home. But now all she had was grief , pain and doubts about her future. At this critical juncture God began to move Ruth into her divine destiny, a destiny that will usher in the saviour of the world V JESUS. ( Ruth begat Obed---------- Obed begat Jesse----- Jesse begat David--- and through the lineage of David Christ our King).

The power of travailing in hope and Prayer for the fulfillment of the promise (HANNAH)
When Hannah had a dream of having a child she bowed before God and submitted her petition to him. Even the high priest Eli did not understand the depth of her anguish, he accused her of being drunk. Have you ever wanted something with such zeal and passion that you are willing to forget about what others around you may think or say about you? Are we willing to spend hours before the feet of Jesus in total surrender to him? When Hannah laid her hopes and dreams before the Lord at the altar she opened the door for the birth of a mighty prophet by the name of Samuel, to grace the earth. One who was instrumental in appointing the king of Israel. Travailing in prayer unleashes immense power not only to change present circumstances but also to impact generations to come. The prayer closet is the greatest incubator in which hopes and dreams can be nurtured and cultivated until it・s appointed time to be birthed forth. When we are on our knees before a loving God, we are in the best position to receive all that he has for us.

Being willing to endure temporary discomfort in order to gain immeasurable rewards (REBECCA)

Rebecca unknowingly stepped into her destiny when she was willing to go beyond her own comfort zone to ensure that Abraham・s servant as well as all his camels had sufficient water to drink. It could not have been an easy task but there are times when opportunities or as many may say :Lucky breaks; are disguised as uncomfortable zonesK places and people that stretch us beyond our limits, but ultimately it leads us to our divine destiny in Christ. When everything seems bleak and you cannot foresee the possibility of Gods dream for you coming to pass, always remember to help others with theirs instead, when you give selflessly of yourself, God begins the restoration process in you. Pursuing a dream will often remove us from a place of comfort and cause us to think outside our natural perspectives and ideologies. We will begin to explore different opportunities that may present themselves as storms or trials that we have to walk through. The good news is that Jesus is always working in and through the storm and will always equip you with everything you need to overcome.

look up with hope!

In the valley of indecision, Look Up! To Jesus who is the author and the finisher of our faith. Patiently wait on God and expect him to answer. When difficulties cause you to bow your head in shame--- look up to the source of all hope, Christ Jesus. The woman with the issue of blood may have been bent over with pain and agony but she chose to press through the crowd to look up at Jesus and touch the hem of his garment. In her story we are given the profound opportunity to look at the type of faith and hope that caused Jesus to stand to attention. When we are radical and passionate about our faith we will most definitely grab the master・s attention

When God was getting ready to move Abraham into a life of abundance he said : look up for I will cause your descendants to be as numerous as the stars in the sky;.

When a saviour was to be born the wisemen only had to look up at the star, that lead them to Jesus.

Life lesson:- : When God gives you a promise but doubt and fear causes you to remain in the pit of helplessness, look up to Jesus who is the source of hope and restoration;. Shake off the fear and anxieties of what tomorrow holds and start drawing from the eternal well of Gods unfailing love for you. Often if our heads remain bowed down in disbelief of what God promised us, we will not see the victory that will surely come.

Isaiah 43 v 18 -19 says :Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old;. :Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.; If God can make a river in the desert and a way in wilderness then I am absolutely certain that God will make a way for you. Be prepared for new things that God will begin to do in and through you. Trust Him for new opportunities, new anointing but most importantly get ready to rise to a newer level in Christ.
Psalm 37 vs 3- 4
3 Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.
The above scripture has become the meditation of my heart. David here encourages us to trust in the lord. If we as God・s children would trust him, he will show himself faithful on our behalf. So like David I encourage you to put away every form of doubt and fear and confidently trust God with your hopes and dreams.
I love the way verse four of this chapter is written in the amplified version especially the words :Secret Petition;. It・s such a great and overwhelming feeling to know that our Father God wants to grant us the desires that we have not even shared with other people before. Those desires that lie dormant in the chambers of our heart, some of which we may feel to afraid to share with even the people closest to us, God wants to now breathe life into those desires and dreams, if we choose to put him first and delight in him and in spending time getting to know the God who gave his all for us.
Verse 5 of this chapter is absolutely prophetic in it・s exactness. The Psalmist writes this verse almost as a promise right from the throne room of God, that if we would commit our ways to God and the amplified version says :roll and repose each care of your load on Him; He will bring our desires to pass. Abba father wants us to place every burden and care that we might ever have into his hands. God・s words tells to cast our cares upon him for he cares for us. Jesus promises us that his burden is light and his yoke is easy. The point I want to make here is that we were not created to carry heavy burdens, that・s why Christ has come to release us of the burdens that seems to overwhelm us and He wants us to stand on the rock Christ Jesus.
Amen, Glory to God on high. These verses make me want to shout from the highest mountain that I serve a God who wants to meet with the desires of his childrens heart and he promises us that He will bring it to pass and God never backs down on his promises!!
Our bible tells the story of three young Hebrew boys named: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. In Daniel chapter three we find that King Nebuchadnezzar ordered that a golden image be set up in Babylon and everyone was required to bow done and worship this image. If anyone refused to follow the Kings orders they would be thrown into the fiery furnace. In verse 17 and 18 of the book of Daniel chapter 3 the three Hebrew boys refused to bow down to the image and responded by saying
:If our God Whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up!;
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego took a stand for what they believed in that day and the bible tells us in versus???????????? That God not only delivered them from the fiery furnace but He brought

In Psalm 27 v 10 we see that David battled with insecurity and rejection. How could it be that the same man who was anointed as king now sits in a place of incredible sorrow and despondency. If one looks closely at this scenario we can adduce that the enemy that David faced here was within him, feelings of rejection and discouragement took the place of acceptance and courage. However if David had chosen to remain there, he would not have reached his divine purpose.

There were times in my life that I have become my own worst enemy. The obstacles that prevented me from accomplishing my dreams were off my own making. I cannot remember the countless times that I talked myself out of doing things because I was too afraid to fail. I realized through the years that if I had allowed my fear of failure to govern my life then God would not be glorified through my life. I want to encourage you to stand strong and know who you are in Christ. Never allow fear in any form to stop you from reaching your divine destiny.

I am certain that everyone has their own idea of what success means to them. But how many of us have really asked our Lord about what our true purpose in life is?

The bible tells us that each and every one of us where created for a specific purpose by God and for God. My bible also tells me that to each of us is given certain gifts or talents. My entire life I have searched for meaning and purpose in my life and I wondered how God is going to use me. I・ve read books and watched anointed ministers on television but the burning question still remained.

Does God really have a plan for,me amidst my faults and failures? Can God really and truly use me? and if God really did create us for a purpose, what was mine, and how can I find out what my calling or gifting is.

Through searching scripture and trying to find God, God lead me down a path that I would not ordinarily have chosen for myself but it became clear as the journey continued that it was a path that I had to travel.

There were many times God had asked me if I trusted him and I answered with a confident yes!!! But wrestled with the question in my heart, did I really trust God implicitly with my life, even though I cannot see where I was going?. At this juncture a confession needs to be made, I did not trust God completely and therefore opened the door for the enemy to come in and take me to a place where I even questioned Gods Love for me. I believed that God loves everyone else but me and he will show favor on everyone else accept me.

I know now that it was a lie from the pit of hell.

At the outset the scripture that the Lord always brought to my remembrance was Matthew 6 v 33, seek he first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.. My heart leaped for Joy as I ponded on the goodness of our God. He is an Awesome God and the best part was that he wants to be good to me! We just have to remain HOPE!

Closing notes:

Jeremiah 29 v 11 paints a beautiful picture of how God thinks of us, it says: :for I know the thoughts (some translations use the word plans) I have towards you says God, thoughts to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a HOPE and a future.;

I want to close by saying that if you believe that God did not love you or if he did not have a plan for your life, then why would he take the time to count the number of hairs on your head, or engrave your name on the palm of his hand? Psalm 139 reminds us of how God even saw and approved of us while we were yet in our mothers womb, the psalmist also tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. The fact that God has taken the time to know us so intimately is indicative of his great love for us his children.
When God created us he created us in his very own likeness and image. I urge you to live in an attitude of gratitude! To enjoy every moment with God our father. God loves you with an everlasting love, every thing was done so that we could come and commune with him. The distance between God and man that was created by sin, has now been erased, we have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus and can now come boldly to the throne room of grace.
Being a Christian does not guarantee a problem free life, but what God does promise us, is that He will never leave us nor will he ever forsake us and he will uphold us by the right hand of his righteousness.
Live your life in the hope that God is faithful and his promises are yes and Amen!!

Scriptures to meditate on:
Lamentations 3 v 25------- The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks himK

Hebrews 10 v 23 ------- lets us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

1 Peter 1 v 3-4 ---- Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade V kept in heaven for you K

Romans 15 v 13 May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
