Choosing to declare peace
'La vie remontant' might also mean
You live prepared to be left speechless
In due season, in good soil, intent on
Simplifying, sweetening the deal
You trade vacations for sabbaticals
Dream in turquoise, navigate seasons
And whether the world is still or not
It’s about standing stand back from the edge
Loving enemies like laugh lines
Roaming vineyards, picking red flowers
Shooting straight, keeping promises
Living late and in uncommon hours
And believing just once in once upon a time
Cultivating smart, quiet, strong, true
You refuse to hurry, and live big times small
You say ‘I want my dreams back’, and ‘I do’
With calm assurance, under blue skies
Rewind, reset, et voilà...here comes the sun
