Deep down you know it’s true
Life always lives in unparalleled times
A wild winding river powering change
It moves you even as stars gaze down
Imploring you to be taken by surprise
Life’s loud-soft-silent amazing memos
Always have more to say, like
“The ordinary just won’t do…”
Life moves in giant play, leaps, happy gulps
And makes you want to build a ‘keeper’
Life opens parachutes, sails wild seas
Teases you to win at divine x’s and o’s
Lines things up, intersects, criss-crosses
Births, successes, losses, renewals, blessings
Pulls it all together, finds far-flung shores
Bets against all odds, loses safety nets
Begs you to laugh in windswept dreams
Life flows, waits, even rains down manna
Tastes of heaven, here and there, à la carte
And dares you to believe this is just the start
