You could own everything money can buy,
You could share in all the pleasures this world has to offer,
You could have so many friends to hang out with,
But without Christ in you, you know you still feel empty.
You might think you could find peace in a secured mansion,
You could find happiness in wild partying,
You could have fulfillment in expensive things,
But without Christ, you know you still feel lonely.
You may earn all the fame in the world,
And you may be acknowledged wherever you go,
Screaming out your name making your head swell,
But alone on your bed, you know you still feel unworthy.
You may resort to all these false religions
All of which make you believe you are your own god,
That you can do all things by yourself if you believe in yourself,
But deep within you, you know you still feel inadequate.
You may not realize this but, when God created us,
He left a vacuum within us which only He can fill,
So no matter what you do to substitute Him,
You will never feel complete.
So don’t you just admit that you are helpless?
That you feel empty and that you want to feel alive
With peace, love and joy that only Jesus can give
Jesus is waiting for you with arms open wide
Just run to the mercy seat and you will be made whole.
