It is late afternoon and the sun is setting for another beautiful night that will be born soon. Far beneath the rays of the sun the sea is a whirlpool of waverly activity. I stand looking over this, Godly created beauty from a hill in the distance. I can also see the city in the near distance, an ancient city called Jerusalem. As my naked eye follows the line of the city I start to see the desecrated walls around the city and on some of the inside walls. Damages of the past that this once beautiful city has endured through the ages, generations after generations it tells of a sad past of wars and unrest. Looking further into the inner city I can see the beautiful houses and public places that were built. Tells the story of this city’s prosperous past. Days when all people and animals had enough to eat and drink and where blessed in the mercy of God. Also for many foreigners that came to this city to find shelter and to build a better life for themselves. I realize that this city has a rich history, a history to treasure. God has chosen this city as the city of all cities, Jerusalem. Here where God blessed King David. Here where God instructed King Solomon to built God's Temple. Where many people of the city and foreigners come to pay homage to God the only living and true God. Here were Kings has ruled under the watchful eye of God. Where prophets were the messengers of God. Enriched I turn around with a song in my heart about the marvelous city of all times, Jerusalem city of God, city of David.
Thought for the day
Are you prepared today if called by God to travel to the New Jerusalem? The Godly city in heaven high above in the sky. The city that God is preparing for His people that accepted Jesus His Son as Personal Savior, and who has obeyed His will and commandments and has lived the way He wanted in holiness.
