If anyone (including ourselves) does anything good without being forced to do so, it is really good and genuine, however what comes as a result of a force or coercion is not from the heart.
God has given us a will of our own and He always wants us to use our will in accordance to His will, the perfect blend of our will with God's will would be the best that could ever happen, however being human and being often driven towards to the evil passions of life, we attempt to direct our deeds against God's will and thus subject ourselves to God's corrections which might often be painful, however blessed is the person who has considered to obey God above everything.
Jesus displayed what should be a believer's heart when He drove away the traders and money lenders from God's house, for when He had done so, the disciples recalled what was written of old, however that which was absent from the life of many...
"Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up."
John 4:17 (NKJV)
Jeremiah, the great prophet of the Lord once stated the condition of his heart as follows....
"Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him,
Nor speak anymore in His name.”
But His word was in my heart like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones;
I was weary of holding it back,
And I could not. " Jeremiah 20:9 (NKJV)
Even though Jeremiah thought about not to preach, his structure and being did not permit him to do so, for the Word of God was in his heart like a burning fire and he could not contain it, he had to preach.
Blessed is such a person who rejoices when God rejoices, who grieves when God grieves, who understands God and has syncronised his life according to His will.
God is surely pleased when sinners repent, when someone is attempting to expand the kingdom of God preaching the Word of God, sharing the Gospel message, praising God with a melodious hymn, do we too rejoice in these?
God is surely grieved when any person indulges in any kind of sin, hatred, jealously or any kind of evil, does that also grieve us too?
Dear One!!! God seeks for people who are like Him to stand in the gap and become His ambassadors on this earth, for once He said.....
"So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one." Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV)
God has not stopped His searching, He still looks for people who would stand in the gap representing Him.
Kindly do not consider it an additional requirement of life to walk in God's will also, for that's the basic purpose for which God created us and all, however many have deviated from it.
A candle cannot do anything better that spread light, for that's the primary purpose its made for, so are we made to shine for God and when we consider this present age in which we are living, the need to return to our primary purpose of life, to shine for God is far more greater than ever.
For many lives today are filled with the darkness of sin and nothing better can replace it and make it blessed than the light of God which God wants to spread through us.
