Have you ever heard a train whistle? Sure you have. Remember when you were a kid, the whistle would blow late at night - ringing all is well.
At least to my child's mind it meant a warm feeling, a good feeling all is well.
Train whistles, wide porches, rocking chairs, biscuits, gravy, peach cobbler, a swing in the tree and making playhouses
Good feelings, warm feelings
The bum at the door my grandmother fed
Amazing Grace, the song she sang
The old house with the creaky hardwood floor
the laughter and fear at my aunts stories she told
Good feelings, childhood feelings brought on by the train whistle
A smell, a taste, a look, a train whistle
I'm glad we stil have train whistles
God knows the little things we need to balance out our lives
And to give a portion to others
Settle back, take a breath, relax, and listen to the whistle
Remembering times years ago
A warmth in a very cold world
Listen - there it is again
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
