Scripture to reflect upon: Revelation 20:10
"And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
One of the best reminders of our eternity is that Satan is doomed for eternal punishment!
Do you even comprehend what that means for you? You do not need to be subjected to his lies and torment. When he attacks, simply remind yourself—and especially him—that he is doomed!! Beware, though: “Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows his time is short.” (Revelation 12:12)
Do you ever wonder why he tries endlessly and relentlessly to steal your joy and peace? His time is short and he is on a mission to destroy as many people as possible. Have you noticed how much he has already succeeded? Do you see how many people are lost and seemingly don’t care? Do you hear the voices cheering with one another, “See you in hell, my friend!”? The deception is upon us. Woe to the earth and sea. However, we have the Good News. Once it’s planted it can be watered, or left to dry and die. Water the spirit and tell the good news to those who are hurting.
Satan is best known for robbing us and lying to us. His ultimate goal is death before salvation so he can take that life down with him. Satan knows he’s doomed, but he refuses to go alone. He is desperately working to take as many souls as possible to the fiery pit of hell with him, and some are jokingly eager to go.
NOTE TO SELF: Remember, Satan may be doomed, but we don’t need to be, too. Shout out in victory: “Satan! You are doomed!!”
