The Bible is an awesome book. Its a collection of life giving words and inspiring examples and is a vast treasure to be explored and be blessed with.
The great saints of God were loyal to Him, faithful to Him and loved Him and thus the Lord also took pride in their lives and honored them before all even unto this day and forever.
One such great example is Enoch, about whom the Old Testament and the New Testament mentions very little, however who he was enabled him to reach the most blessed position one can ever be...
Now listing down who Enoch was....
1. And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Genesis 5:24 - He was a man who walked with God, had sweet and blessed fellowship with God, he took care that he never was lost in pride to walk ahead of God and also never back slided in faith to be left behind, rather he walked in the plan of God and thus was blessed.
2. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Hebrews 11:5
Enoch pleased God in all that he did. His one concern and criteria in all he did was, Is God being glorified by what I do?", "Will I be able to please God doing this?"
3. Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, Jude 1:14
Enoch used the gift of God to him and he prophesied to the people, he was never like a lamp lighted yet kept under the bowl, rather he considered it his privilege to shine for God and testify about Him.
Dear One!!! When God writes a summary of our life, He will base it upon our walk with Him, our attitude to please Him and how we used all that He gave to us.
Where do we stand today? We need to walk, we need to please and we need to testify, for that's a true blessed life.
God Bless,
Abraham
