In the light of the tree
The world was lost.
Amidst Eden's beauty
Not knowing the cost,
We went astray,
Down our own path
Into pain, death and dismay,
Chased by Satan's laugh.
In the shadow of the trees
The world was remade.
In Gethsemene's lees,
Knowing what must be paid
He made His choice.
To get us on the right track
He listened to His Father's voice
And broke the Devil's back.
