Dinner is one of the main part of our daily routine. that's the time when probably all in the family are together, the day (good or bad) is coming to an end and its truly a time of great joy and peace, how would it be if we could also have a very important person joining us for the dinner? who is that person? probably He Who was with us the whole day, converting our failures into blessedness and giving us the hope for a bright future, He Who had provided all for us (literally even the dinner on the table), He Who is the source of all blessedness in our life. Yes, God wants to come and dine with us, for He longs for our fellowship, He longs to sit down with us, listen from us and teach us His blessed ways.
Jesus said...
'Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20 (NKJV)
Yes!!! God knocks at the door of our heart and desires to come in to bless us, however how do we react to His calling, to His knocking?
John stated the universal truth when he said this with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit...
"He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him." John 1:11 (NKJV)
Yet all are not so bad, some have reacted positively to the calling of the Lord...
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:"" John 1:12 (NKJV)
They who have believed in Him are His children and they do receive Him in their life and what does God do to them and for them?
"But now, thus says the LORD, Who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“ Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you. " Isaiah 43:1-2 (NKJV)
Yes!!! The Lord is our strength, He will never leave us nor forsake us, thus even when in the midst of great troubles and problems, we know we will get through, for He is there with His blessedness for us everyday.
Have you responded to God's knocking at your heart's door? Let Him come in, for then shall we truly rest in peace, then shall we have perfect solace.
God Bless,
Abraham
