Joshua had a big responsibility, no one to help and no one to guide after Moses, who would help him to lead this great multitude to the promised land?
The one who led Moses came down and encouraged Joshua with such an encouragement that Joshua was instantly charged and ready to take the command to lead the people.
' Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess.’”
Joshua 1:9-11
New King James Version (NKJV)
We need to hear the encouragement from God to be really encouraged.
What comes from God is always true, real and everlasting
Jesus said...
'These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.'
John 15:11
New King James Version (NKJV)
Yes!!! God never does an incomplete task, He has given us joy in full, peace in full, life in full.
How can we taste what God has given to us? even when surrounded by innumerable troubles and when in pain?
Paul exhorts us in thus manner...
'Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.'
Philippians 4:6-7
New King James Version (NKJV)
Asaph the worship leader in the temple of the Lord was once going through a similar confusion in his life which later got resolved, however how?
He narrates his entire experience in Psalms 73, however the verse that mentions what brought the change in his life is this..
' Until I went into the sanctuary of God;
Then I understood their end. '
Psalm 73:17
New King James Version (NKJV)
Yes!!! We need to go into the sanctuary of the Most High, we need to go in prayer to see everything in the light of God, for then we shall understand the goodness of our God and His awesome power and provision.
Our encouragement will come from God alone and we will receive this in prayer alone.
God Bless,
Abraham
