Where is your God? This seems like a regular song that you hear lately
You have been going through series of troubles recently… like they say, “IT DOES NOT RAIN, IT POURS”.
Strings and strings of those difficult times, one after the other, you are bombarded without a resting moment and you are probably saying that you are at your wit’s end
This has been your experience since in- the- past….God knows how long now!
Hang in there, this one too shall pass.
Do not forget that the devil is a tricky and sly customer….who uses every weapon at his disposal (and even borrowed ones) to overwhelm and crush your spirit especially if you dare fight in times of trouble.
He is one who has promised to STEAL, TO KILL AND DESTROY!
This is a threefold ministry that he has and is determined to carry out, I dare say, skillfully and with a high level of sophistication until Jesus returns in judgment on the world.
If you must be victorious at every stage of these troubles, BY STRENGTH SHALL NO MAN PREVAIL!
The lord has promised to raise a standard against troublers of your soul and also NEVER leave you in times of trouble.
This is a promise.
Then I guess the troubles are also A PROMISE! What….! Did I hear you say?
Yes, unfortunately AND ALSO FORTUNATELY the problems that God promised to turn around for our good, oftentimes are the events that help us not to remain in ANY WORLDLY COMFORT ZONE!
We are supported by these, to continue to keep our focus on Jesus , the author and finisher of our faith and thereby keeping God’s law and statutes in our heart to help us remain on track and do the bidding of our father in Heaven always as He has sent us.
In addition, God’s name is glorified when we are brought through stormy waters and OUT OF IT, like in the case of the man who was blind from birth (John 9: 1-3)
The ‘miracle’ is a reminder for us that GOD CAN DO EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING!
He can do anything but fail!
Remember Job, he was even described as righteous and upright! So why did God allow such a one to be tried in such a manner that he was????
Eventually God’s name was glorified after Job had been taken through the FIRE, tried and tested!
We may never really fully understand it ALL on this side of Heaven but I guess if it is possible and God’s will, we shall have QUESTION TIME in Heaven when we get there.
All He desires of us is to be obedient, love and do His will here on earth, no matter how burdensome it might be sometimes.
Trials often make us stronger….after all it is said that experience is the best teacher
When you feel dejected and embarrassed as to what to say in situations where you are being asked “where is your God?”
Shout out in your closet to the Lord God most high to prove Himself
Call on the God of Elijah to send fire to battle the SHOW-OFF enemy and persecutor of your soul
The priests of baal performed magic to show off (2 kings 18:1-46), Prophet Elijah asked for fire from heaven as a response to show that his God is ALMIGHTY!
2 kings 18:36
And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
Pharaoh’s wise men threw sticks on the floor which turned into snakes, Moses called on his God and threw down his own stick, which also turned into a snake and swallowed all SNAKES present! – EXODUS 7:10-12
Call on God to come to your rescue and PROVE His name when the situation reaches a point where YOUR GOD and worship of him is being mocked because of your fervent faith and belief though “you seem to have nothing to show for it”
Call on the God of Elijah to answer with fire, to do the impossible and make the carnal man eat his words (even in some cases, ‘Christians’ will be among your mockers or even be your MAJOR mockers)and you have the last laugh with GOD’S NAME BEING GLORIFIED!
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
