Who Shall Roll Away The Stone?
Mark 16:3 "And they said among themselves, who shall roll away the stone from the door of the sepulcher?"
This was a sad Sunday morning for the two godly women who were on their way to the tomb of Jesus. They were greatly concerned about the heavy stone that covered the entrance to the grave where they thought Jesus was resting. They said to themselves "Who will roll away the stone?" They knew they certainly were not strong enough because it took many Roman soldiers to put the stone in place This was a huge obstacle that lay before them but because of faith they moved forward.. There desire to pay their last respects to their beloved Master was stronger then the urge to give up. When they arrived, the difficulty they expected to meet was removed; the stone had been rolled away.
This is just like many of us with our fears and anxieties, we worry about the future and about the things we think will happen (The what if'ís ) but when we move forward in faith, the obstacles disappear. Man may fail us but Christ never will. The pathway to heaven is narrow and dangerous but let us remembers we have an experienced guide Christ Jesus. As we travel this pathway let us remember Christ's pierced hands will hold us. His right hand and mighty arm are all powerful.
The Holy Spirit furnishes the strength that sustains our striving wrestling souls in every emergency and stones shall be rolled away.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
