Author requests article critique

My table stands waiting
set the scene
I've not seen much lately
that's fit for a King

Throw over the cloth
now place the mats
It's time for a party
please raise your hats

Bring out the bread knife
we'll have a feast
A jar of water
will wash down the yeast

Passover the cup
not drink again will I
Till the Kingdom is gained
the fruit of the vine

Take bread in my hands
give thanks and now break
My body's given to you
in remembrance; not forsake

Now after supper
the cup I do take
New covenant in my blood
man's hand will betray

The one at the table
or the one who serves
Who is the greater?
a Kingdom, I'll confer!

Eat, drink at my table
in my Kingdom and on thrones
Father, if You're willing
this cup from me take,
(Please not my will);
But Your will, will be done

I enjoy reading your writings. This is a special writing. The Lord's Supper is very precious, a time to remember and be grateful and thankful for what He did for each of us.

Thank you for your encouraging words re: my articles. I've never heard the Lord's supper referred to as a "party". But that's exactly what it is. Tremendous. Thanks.
