Many a day I ponder over days of yore
When as a child I romped and played.
Out in the country wide and graved
With nary a care in the world.
Just living the childhood posture
Such simple games we played.
Like baseball in the cow pasture
Just Daddy, me and the boys.
Sweet memories in my mind I muster
And often long for my childhood days.
When things were so much simpler
In youthful years now gone forever.
The world has changed from then
As nothing ever stays the same;
Kids now days miss out on so much.
Is technology really a loss or gain?
If I could have but one chance
To roll back to my childhood years.
I would relive those fun filled days
Where one could wander without fear.
