A Life Renewed

Suppressed by an eternity it seems- of regret and shame
A heaviness that restricts-filled with overwhelming pain
~One breath at a time
Shadows of sin oppressing any light that attempts to shine
Knowledge of love is hidden in sin within this heart of mine
~One heart beat at a time
A longing deep within cries to be free; it requires too much.
I have not strength to fight this battle, I need a healing touch.
~One prayer at a time
How do I begin to pull myself out of the pit I lay wasting in?
All I have done well in life seems like filth in spite of my sin.
~One drop of grace at a time
Wandering aimlessly in search of where I should turn
To have a freedom from this bondage I deeply yearn
~One drop of blood
~One drop of love
~One life Renewed.
