I met him at a mall not so long ago,
thought I'd reach the sales, but then I heard;
'Hello, I am Jesus,l.o.v.e. Jesus.
I thought; 'what a nutter' but I kept control,
he reached for my hand, but I let it go.
He said Jesus, l.o.v.e. Jesus.
I raised my head and my heartbeat too, replied;
'do you take me for the biggest fool?
You're not Jesus, no,no, your'e not Jesus!'
'I pray to God every single night,
thankful for my candlelight,
pray for the sick hearts, homeless too,
I talk to Jesus, but He's not you!"
That's when he said;'Child, you don't understand'
Shoppers walked by while ignoring this man
who's called Jesus. L.o.v.e Jesus.
Time ticked by,by the look in his eyes,
I plucked up the courage to ask him why,
he said; 'Jesus, l.o.v.e. Jesus.
I felt as though he could read my mind.
He said;'You have met the everlasting kind,
in me, Jesus. L.o.v.e Jesus.
On the bus, as we travelled home, it occurred to me I was no longer alone, I met Jesus,
l.o.v.e Jesus.
This encounter may sound surreal,
can't describe how it really feels,
faith stepped in, opened up a door,
found me dancing right across the floor!
We all meet Jesus every single day,
He calls in the most unusual way,
a close encounter is the way to go,
all it takes is just the word, 'hello'.
