The Lord is my Shepherd,
I have everything that is good
for He tenderly cares for me
as a good shepherd should.
He keeps me away from danger,
protects my every step
He won't let my foot slip
for He guards, each mis-step.
He is skilful and faithful,
to care for His flock
and if I were to wander
He'd search around the block.
When I call out His name,
He comes running out to me
for He recognizes my voice
and from worry, I am free.
He tends to my desires,
and knows what I will need
and so I will not hunger
for on His goodness, I will feed.
I shall find satisfaction,
all the days of my life
for in the Good Shepherd
there is neither lack nor strife!
