THE PRETTIEST DRESS AT THE PARTY
Once upon a time there lived a wonderful little girl named Lucy. Right now one thing was of great importance to her and it was the fact that she didn’t have anything outstanding to wear for her neighbor’s birthday party and her parents didn’t want to give her the money to get one even though they were rich.
Lucy bugged and bugged her parents. She tried everything she could but she still couldn’t get her parents to give her the money for a new dress. She had been bugging them for weeks now and now the party was only one day away.
“Your dress shouldn’t give you value it should be the other way round” Lucy’s Mum would say, “Just dress well. Besides you are not supposed to dress better than the celebrant, it’s good etiquette.”
‘Good etiquette?’, Lucy taught. Mum didn’t understand the way things work now. Good etiquette is old school. No one cares about etiquette no more. Mum didn’t understand that the dresses she (Lucy) wears determines her reputation and without a reputation she’s just another face in school.
Hours later, the downcast Lucy sat in her bedroom with her best friend Mary. She complained to her about everything and soon started talking about robbing a clothing store and clandestinely returning the dress after the party. She called it borrowing from the store without permission.
Lucy’s friend, Mary told her not to think like that. Although her and Lucy where both Christians who had nice Christian parents, Mary was the one who was more prone to make decisions based on the word of God out of the two friends.
Mary told Lucy that she kinda agrees with what her Mum said. She shouldn’t depend on a beautiful dress to define who she is. And about stealing a dress no matter what she may want to call it is totally out of the question.
Mary also added that if good etiquette was embraced all around the world that the world will be a much better place socially.
Lucy couldn’t believe what her best friend was telling her. It was at times like this that she wondered why she still keeps her as a friend. But still, she had to admit that it was Mary’s solid hold on values that made her such a good friend and the only friend she had that she was 100% sure she could rely on.
When the day of the party came, Lucy couldn’t believe she would have to attend it with one of her old but Ok party clothes. She wore the best dress that she had and stood in front of the mirror. She spun around. She didn’t feel it. The dress didn’t make her feel like a princess. The more she taught about it the more the dress made her feel small.
Uuurgh! That’s it! Lucy couldn’t take it anymore. Lucy waited for just the right moment and then she sneaked out of the house and off she went to the clothing store. The plan was simple: snatch the prettiest dress you see there when no one is looking and after the party return it to where you saw it when no one is looking.
Unfortunately for Lucy, wrong deeds always cost you because you always reap what you sow. Lucy was caught stealing the dress on camera and instead of flaunting a new dress at her neighbor’s party she was the object of scorn at the party even though she couldn’t attend it. Word gets spread fast in the town especially when it involves a rich little girl whose parents have to come running down the street to bail their daughter out of police custody for shop-lifting.

CHECK BACK TOMORROW EVENING FOR A FRESH, CHRISTIAN BEDTIME STORY
If you’ve been touched by what you just read and you’ve never given your heart to Jesus before but now want to become a Christian, please say this prayer and mean it with all your heart.
“Oh Lord God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Your word says, ‘… whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved’ (Acts 2:21)
So now I ask Jesus to come into my heart to be the lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit and according to Romans 10: 9, ‘That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved’ , Therefore I declare that I am saved; I am born – again; I am a child of God! I now have Christ dwelling in me, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world! (1 John 4:4). I now walk in the consciousness of my new life in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!”
PRAYER FOR THE RETURNING BACK SLIDER (ONLY):
“Oh lord God, I ask for your mercy and forgiveness for turning my back on you. I come back to you today in total sincerity and like the parable of the prodigal son, I thank you for receiving me back with Joy and Gladness.
I confess that Jesus Christ is the lord of my life and God the father is my Daddy. Hallelujah!”
PRAYER TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT:
“Oh Father, I thank you now for making me born again. For making me your child.
I ask that you give me your Holy Spirit to live in me and with me. For your word says that you would freely give the Holy Spirit to all those who ask. I open my heart and receive, and I know by faith that you have given me your Holy Spirit. Thank you Father. In Jesus name. Amen.”
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE NOW A CHILD OF GOD. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF GOD.

WHAT’S “FREE DAILY CHRISTIAN BEDTIME STORIES”:
The “FREE DAILY CHRISTIAN BEDTIME STORIES” was formerly known as “KING’S DAILY BEDTIME STORIES.” It was a series of daily bedtime stories all written by Alfred Benjamin King but now it is open to any writer who is interested in writing a bedtime story to add to the daily series. The writer would receive all the credit for the writing but would not receive any money for it as the writing itself would be distributed for free around the web. It is however a good and quick way for new writers to get fame or at least acknowledgement in the industry and make it easier for them to get a publishing contract for their other works as their writings for the “FREE DAILY BEDTIME STORIES” creates a fan base for them as well as add to their portfolio.
This story should have cost you the same price of a children’s storybook that you can get from a book shop, but I prefer you learn to save money. It is an important skill every child should learn. So put the money you would have used to buy this story into your piggee bank.
The “FREE DAILY CHRISTIAN BEDTIME STORIES” series is a great and the only place to get free bedtime stories every single day for your kids.
You can review them yourself before you give them to your kids to read. It’s always good to review what you kids let get into their hearts. Entertainment is a tool to build or destroy. Monitor the movies, the books, the music and other forms of entertainment your kids get in contact with.
Thankfully, the “FREE DAILY CHRISTIAN BEDTIME STORIES” is for building and not destroying your kids.
WRITE A STORY TO BE FEATURED IN THE “FREE DAILY CHRISTIAN BEDTIME STORIES”:
If you are a writer or want to be a writer and you are serious and I mean very serious about it, you can submit your story to me at firstname.lastname@example.org if is rejected, I would send you a mail telling you why I rejected it and you don’t have to worry about your intellectual property because I won’t steal it. However, if I accept your story I would send you an e-mail telling you what day it would appear in the “FREE DAILY CHRISTIAN BEDTIME STORIES” series. It could take up to a week or a little more. And if there are no drawings in the story, then I would drawing the illustrations and take credit for only the illustrations. You would also have to include a short “About the Author” piece that also includes your online address or blog so the readers can know more about you and also visit your site. I also need a picture of you like the one you use for friend sites so that the readers can know what you look like so you can be more popular (and so they can attach a face to your name).
