I have written alot of things about worry. Yet, I still struggle with it. So this blog is for myself, but maybe it will help you too. I know that worry hurts God. How can you trust one minute and then doubt Him the next? I say that because to many times I say prayers and ask God for things in my life, but then I don't live it or speak it out of my mouth.
Maybe that is why I am struggling so much. I'm like a double minded person and can't make up my mind. I use to say, "Oh, I know God can do it. He can do anything, but will He do it for me? That is questioning God's character and who He is. That is so wrong. Lord, forgive me. His word tells us He loves us. (all). We don't love our children at different levels, we love them the same. Now, they may need to handled in different ways, because one on one, we have to teach them, guide them, protect them and discipline them, or sometimes give them extra affection, whatever they need according to their own personality. We still love them all the same. God Does Too! So to think he won't do it for me is wrong. He will.
The mind is a battlefield. We can control it. We can take every thought captive. So when worry comes. I will remind myself of this blog. I will put the worries away and sing a praise song in my heart. I said the prayer and now I am letting go and thanking Him for the answer, whatever it may be. I am learning, if you want a happy abundant life. You have got to rid of the worry. When we give it to God there is no better place for it to be and He will work it out for our good. Wow! Why is that so hard to get through my thick skull?
I am memorizing this scripture below and I am going to use it when worry tries to rise up in me.
James 1:6-8
6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

Great piece, Kim! I also wrote an article on worrying; it seems to get at us all, doesn't it? We know God can take care of our problem and we commit it to Him but whiles we are waiting, we tend to worry. This is one of my favorite reads.
