One morning in my Sunday school class we were going to sing before I taught the lesson.
I noticed if I moved the chairs in a semi circle before me there was less distraction then sitting at the table so lesson time and singing time were in a circle and coloring and charts at the room's table.
We had the story of David and Golith before and had sung the song before many times.
The boy who was sitting on the end was about four years old this is about him.
We were sing and doing the actions: "only a boy named David only a little sling now( use hands like a sling) only a boy named David but he could pray and sing(fold hands in pray) only a boy named David only a rippleing brook (hands wavey motions in front of you)only a boy named David and five little stones he took( hold up one open hand) and one litle stone went in the sling and the sling went round and round and round and round and round and round( holdup one finger then close hand and twirl hand) and one little stone went up in the air and the giant came tumbling down( holdup one finger then last part smack hands together.
Which is what I and the other child did but the four year old fell off his chair on purpose (the giant came tumbling down.)
That was a new one as well as a surprise.
Note he sat back on his chair laughing and we did get through rest of the hour without any more surprises.
