Why can’t we get it when things come our way?
We only have one chance to have a say in what
becomes of our lives. Most of us miss it.
So we just coast along. We rise from the depth
of despair, into the sun shine of your love.
It warms us to the bone. Thank you. Our eyes
are now opened. We see all the joys we have
lost. But we do not stumble because You lift
us up, You lift us up! Then You show us all
our future joys, and we are glad. So we wait,
like the children we are.
Lead us, hold us, love us. Without You there
is only darkness.
Hold us in Your light.
