I was studying an article on Matthew the sixth chapter, in this chapter God tells us not to worry about what we will eat, or what we will drink, he admonishes us not to worry about raiment (clothes) or even worry about tommorrow for tommorrow will take care of itself, but He tells us to seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added.
As I read the article I became encouraged especially when I read the following passage,” He calls us to step out on Faith without any assurance except that he promised to provide.”
My God in that one passage there is a miracle waiting for anyone who is struggling with waiting on the Lord right now. So many times we get discouraged as we wait on the Lord but our faith; true faith admonishes us to stand on the Word of God. Stand and see the salvation of the Lord. I don’t recall anywhere in scripture where a timetable is given as we wait on the hand of God to move in our lives. In other words scripture doesn’t say, stand in this spot for thirty minutes and you will receive your breakthrough.
God the Father is the author and finisher of time in our lives and although we get caught up in the cares of this world (mortgage, rent, light bill, gas, water, etc.) our cares for this world does not cancel the word of God, because the word of God still says ‘God will supply all of your needs according to his riches.”
But let’s go back to the passage; it says He calls us to step out on Faith without any assurance. That means that your faith in the Word of God must be your assurance that what He promised He will provide. Your Faith is your assurance and if your faith is wavering, doubting and can not stand in spite of, what does that say about your belief in the word of God? When we find ourselves wavering, anxious, worried, scared and fearful we are to take authority over those thoughts, the bible says that we are to cast down everything that would exalt itself against the knowledge of God and bring those thoughts into captivity.
I know it’s hard not to worry especially if you’re looking into the eyes of children you have to feed or a family you must keep a roof over, we must acknowledge that. At the same time the devil wants you to concentrate on your lack. He wants us to concentrate on all that we don’t have and all that we once had. It’s a distraction, don’t fall for it. You see if you’re busy concentrating on what you don’t have then your wallowing in circumstances and your not able to exercise your faith because you’re too busy looking at the problem, but your faith looks past the problem and to God the Father. What does it mean to look to God, that means we search him out in his Word, the bible says He is a very present help in the time of trouble. It says that what he has begun, he is able to perform it. It says that you are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus, and it also says there is no condemnation, so if your Heavenly Father is not condemning you, please my dear brother. my beautiful sister, stop condemning yourself and take authority over the lack in your life in this one simple phrase, “Satan the Lord rebuke you and I cancel out lack in my life in Jesus Name!” Now you’ve got to believe that thing!
Let me also ask you this, how can God bless you RIGHT NOW, if you’re still looking back and longing for what your use to have. God forbid, if God allows something to be loosed from your grasp, let it go, freely, with no expectations of seeing it again because God the Father said, I do a new thing! Why do we long for the things that God has relinquished from our hands, let’s stop being pillars of salt looking back with longing on what is no longer ours. Why do we want what we once had? Don’t you know God can bless you exceedingly and abundantly above all you’re able to ask or think! Let’s get out of the prison of longing for what is no longer ours instead let us bow our heads and pray for our sisters and brothers who we know need a helping hand.
Because when we stand on the word of God by faith our only assurance is our belief in the Word of God, that what God promised he will bring to past, so know that your situation is already taken care of and while we rest in that, let us pick up the mantel for someone else and pray for them with earnest expectation that God meet their needs in Jesus Name, after all there’s a war going on and we need to stop being distracted by what we don’t have and get back in this fight with Holy Boldness declaring what thus said the Lord, wining souls to the Kingdom, and sending up continual praise! Hallelujah Jesus!
Remember, “I pray for you, you pray for me, and watch God change things. Because I see you in the future, and you look better, I see you walking in favor and prosperity too, let me encourage you, let me speak life to you, you can depend on God to see you through…you can depend on me to pray for you.”
