Sunday 8/7/11 Minister Paul’s sermon=The Blessing Inside the Offering
Gen 22:1-13. Gen 22:18

We have to have a relationship with God first. We must hear God before we can receive the blessings. We must have a relationship and a fellowship with God. The relationship is given to us by the blood of Jesus. The fellowship is what we must work on everyday.
1) We need to listen to God :
Letting God know that we are listening is important. We should acknowledge him so He knows we are positioning ourselves in order to listen to him.
2) Pay attention to the details= vs. 3, vs. 6:
Abraham prepared everything he needed for the burnt offering. He took the wood, the robe, the fire etc.
3) Have faith that God will provide= vs. 8:
All is well because God will provide all things that we need. Abraham told Isaac this and it came to pass when God gave him a ram for the sacrifice.
4) Give it all up:
Turn Over Control to God!! Hand it over….hand over control to God. We have to give ALL control for us to get the blessings.
Giving it All: our body, our mind our heart, our soul, our money, our thoughts, our will!
vs. 18 The blessing is in obeying what God says. If we don’t listen hen we can’t tap into our blessing. Surrender to God and he will take over and all will be blessed! God will give us the seed to our blessings.
We need to LISTEN, not hear but LISTEN to God! Obey God’s voice.!
Start your day out with God. Pray in the morning because God already knows what the day has for us. Go to him to find out our assignment for the day. If we are doing God’s will, we will bump into the devil everyday. But…if we go all day and don’t bump into the devil, then we are going the same way as him. We need to get it right with the Lord!
***Give up ourselves to God. There is a blessing!
***Offering ourselves to God and there is a blessing inside of us!
