The rain comes down so hard,
As tears fall from the sky.
Most people don’t care,
That Jesus Christ had died.
They shouted crucify Him,
And nailed Him to a cross.
They did not seem to care,
What the World had lost.
But on Easter Sunday,
He did rise again.
Saying all’s forgiven,
That you are His friend.
So today we listen,
To the story true.
He ascended into Heaven,
Building castles just for you,
He sent the Holy Spirit,
To help us understand.
He was someone special ,
And not a mortal man.
Gather around you people,
And with your voices sing.
God has sent His son,
Christ the Lord our King.
