I would like to spend these next few articles to prepare you for this section that deals with the delicate nature of understanding prophecy, as found in the remaining chapters of Daniel 7-12.
To understand truth we must lay aside all preconceived ideas and re-evaluate them in light of new truth not previously heard. I am not saying that we must accept all new ideas and throw out the old ones. But we must be humble enough to examine the possibility that we may have been using the wrong approach in our search for truth. Once we have admitted that we are wrong, accepting new ideas is easier. There are also consequences of embracing truth. It is telling others about the change that may cause rejection or maybe being fired from your church. At one time I have faced both of these and God was merciful in helping me face and suffer the consequences.
There are some of you who have some different views on these upcoming writings. You have different backgrounds and sources of knowledge that far exceed my own. Writing these articles has left me totally dependent upon the Holy Spirit to guide. I hope you will see that, because my opinions are not important and my understanding is limited.
It is my goal to share with you some of the great lessons that God is teaching me through writing on the book of Daniel. Please understand that I am not trying to destroy any of your beliefs. If I am wrong I will admit and change. Hopefully you will adopt this same principle. and most of all, pray for me. I value your prayers the most at this time.
