I never spend much time talking about Satan. That should never lead anyone to think, even for a moment, that I deny the reality of his existence. I just never liked the idea of giving him free "publicity." I so abhor his existence, I don't even want to give him the consideration of capitalizing his name, but I will, so as not to offend the grammatically correct among us.
The first thing you need to know about him is he is a liar! He will even take the Word of God and distort it to present his case. Remember what he said to Eve in the garden, "Has God indeed said...." Then he quoted God! Eve even repeated back to him what God had said, but that was not enough. Why? Because even though she could repeat it, she didn't stand on it, and apply it to the situation. Satan caused a seed of doubt to be planted in her heart, it took root and she acted on it. She believed a lie instead of what God had spoken to her.
Satan's plan has never changed. He will speak lies to the world to convince them God does not really exist. Then, to those who do find out, through the grace of God, that He is real, he sets in motion an alternate plan. Now he will try to convince them the Word is not true. "Has God indeed said..." It is all about keeping them from giving their heart and life to a loving God, and allowing Him to use them for His glory, and to reach out to others so they too will come to know Him.
When the enemy attacks you, and he will, do what Jesus did. Tell him what God has said! Jesus' reply to everything Satan tried to hit Him with was "IT IS WRITTEN..." He didn't debate it; He didn't question it; He just spoke it and continued doing exactly what He knew to do!
If the enemy attacks you financially, emotionally, or physically, he is after your faith! As an example: If you're having trouble financially, and can hardly make the payments on your "stuff," trust me, he is not after your "stuff," he is after your relationship with God. His desire is to cause you to doubt God's love for you and His willingness or ability to take care of you.
"It is written..." he is already defeated! Jesus said it. You need to believe it. Satan is a liar, but our God is Truth!
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW

He is defeated--especially when I call the Name of Jesus while I am in pain! The victory is in the Name of Jesus!
