If my cardigan worn, keeps me warm in the winter.
If my faithful umbrella, from rain, gives me shelter.
If my favourite soup gives my hunger release,
or my old, dripping tap, which can still quench my thirst, I can say I have all that I need.
I am not quite adept with my man-made computer.
As for designer labels on clothes, does it suit her?
Can honestly say they are not fit for me,
I can cover my body with colourful clothes,
I can say I have all that I need.
Oh, but as for my wants!
Didn't I drive to school
to earn my degree?
Oh, there was I,
in my Porsche,
I was nobody's fool,
nobody but me!
If our grandsons say 'Nana, can we have a cuddle?"
Or a kiss from my husband, my skin bears his stubble.
Or a phone call from our kids who want to succeed,
I've a listening ear, I've a bit of advice,
thanks to Christ,
I have all that I need.
