Rock of ages cleft for me!

ON MEDITATION -
SHEKINAH GLORY -
This is a great place to begin meditating on God. The Shekinah glory of God is His Majestic presence or manifestation of God which descended as “fire and light” in the tabernacle. It is because we have become “to familiar” with God and we too often “take God for granted” that we need to spend quality time, quietly before the LORD, soaking up and reverencing HIS “MAJESTY.”
WONDERFUL HOLINESS –
The Holiness of God is awesome! Holiness is his very essence. Out of his holiness flows His LOVE, MERCY, GRACE, JUSTICE … I believe Jesus spent most of his early morning devotion time in praising the “beauty of god’s holiness.” How many of us do?
TERRIFYING HOLINESS
I believe God’s Holiness is absolutely terrifying to the devil. Even the angels cannot look upon God in his holiness. I believe it is so frightening to anyone with the guilt of sin upon their soul to stand in the terrifying presence of God’s holiness that, in His mercy, God created Hell where sinners will be punished but will not have to be utterly consumed with terror of his ultimate Holiness.
ETERNAL LIFE
Our minds cannot grasp the wonder nor the reality of this heavenly gift but that should not prevent us from daily falling on our faces and worshiping God who granted us this gift of Love.
ETERNAL FIRE
I keep this before my mind for one reason – to stir myself up to “Go into all the world” and evangelize the lost. If the sound of it is so frightning, imagine what the reality of it shall be!
ETERNAL WEIGHT OF GLORY
I imagine the glory of God to be so real, so awesome, so heavy (like the weight of a trillion worlds) that we will be daily experiencing new layers of his infinite and excellent wonders. I can’t wait!
ROCK OF AGES CLEFT FOR ME
My soul breaks for the pathos expressed in the words of this song, (My favorite song). To think, He who was UNCREATED, ETERNAL AND ALMIGHTY, became an infant, lived, suffered and died – as if it were all for me!
DREAD JUDGMENT
One day we shall all have to stand before the Throne of God to give an account of the things we did in this life. Every word we spoke, every act we did will come under the scrutiny of a Holy God. This alone ought to cause us to shudder, and keep on the good side of God.
UNENDING JOY
We wrap up our meditations with the delightful thought that our joys shall know no bounds and have no ends. And when billions of years have passed all thought of time will fade away. Then we will forever be totally caught up in a dimension of unceasing joy!
