Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear
Hebrews 12: 28
One of the joys of being a Christian is the hope we have that the great God we serve is indeed awesome in all His dealings with us as His precious children.
We have the advantage of knowing God as Faithful. He keeps to His Word no matter what.
As we strive to shine forth His light in this fallen world, we will face opposition in our homes sometimes, in our schools, in our work environment; the government may come up with policies that seek to promote an Antichrist agenda, maybe in our relationships and so on.
When the winds of adversity blows, do you have a safe place to berth? In Christ Jesus we can have the victory and remain calm in the midst of opposition.
We must remain rooted in Christ if we are to survive the enemy's attacks. He may hurl insults at us, he may instigate our fellows to foment trouble but after all the winds of trouble have blown we will remain firm. God is giving us a kingdom that all the forces of darkness cannot shake. In the meantime, we need not be dressed in cloaks of fear of what the enemy might do to us.
For you see when Joseph was brought out of the prison, he changed his clothes and dressed for the palace.
For us to effectively withstand the onslaught of the enemy we must dress up daily with the garment of faith knowing that because we are rooted in Him we will not be shaken.
This is not saying the storm won't come. But when it does come and finishes its mission we will be found standing firm because we are rooted in Christ.
