Oh, Holy Land,
Do you remember me?
The sweat upon my brow, now, does the camel see?
I can sense his thirsty breath, feel the sand beneath our feet,
in my bag is frankincense for the One whom I shall meet.

Oh, Holy Land,
I have to search the sky,
I scan the stars until I find the one before my eyes,
I can rest through sheer relief, knowing it's directing me,
I close my eyes and dream a dream.

War and peace feels like a double sword,
I must be careful when I meet another of this world.
There is an infant who was born,
a blessed babe for all to see.
I must hurry with my gift,
it is written prophecy!

Oh Holy Land,
my friends are on a quest.
Our journey makes us weary, so we often have to rest.
One has Myrrh, the other, Gold,
I have purifying oils, this all make sense,
my Frankincense!

We three friends
gained knowledge from the skies,
ever knowing we would meet the apple of our eyes.
As we laid our gifts to Christ,
we knew He was here for life,
we would survive,
He does survive.
Amen.
