I was just considering Abram and the responses he got from his relatives when he told them about his revelations about the True and Living God. Then what did they say when he was being directed to leave his family, and go to another country unknown to him? How would you react? Do you think you could stand the scrutiny and laughter of your friends and family? How would you handle it?
Let me tell you how I handled it. I was not like Abram who didn’t know where I was going. I was told to go the North Carolina. When I stepped on the plane, I had no idea where I was going, what I was going to face, how the people would treat me, and most of all, how I would survive! I knew that God had spoken to me about expanding my territory. I thought He meant Connecticut—my hometown! To make a me from the NE to the South—by the water, no less! To tell you the truth I went into permanent prayer mode! Lord, I know you said that the footsteps of a righteous person is order by the Lord, but this!!!! [Personal paraphrase] Great day in the morning, Lord! Okay, I am really walking by faith! Don’t know nobody, and how to I adjust at this stage of my life?
While I fussed, puffed and bowled over, God had the way already laid out for me. He had connections waiting for my coming into His alignment of His Plan for my life in His kingdom!
Do you know why I brought this up? Maybe the Lord is giving somebody directions, and you are scared like Abram and I was.
Maybe you have to walk in blind faith like Abram and I did. You are not alone. We all have to take the same journey in order to align ourselves with God’s Divine Plan for our lives. Who said this journey would be easy?
Tell me what is on your mind…
