Oh, Judas, if you had only known
That Jesus was the One as He'd always shown,
Would you still have given Him that kiss?
I know that the Truth you did miss.
Oh, Judas, if you'd only known the biggest mistake
Ever made in history was the one you did make!
Oh, Judas, why did you choose to love wealth?
It was so hazardous to your spiritual health!
You sold not only my Lord but also your soul,
For you took your life before He could make you whole!
Oh, Judas, you let your priorities get so misplaced
That yours would become a name disgraced!
Oh, Judas, if only you'd realized that soon
The next day at three in the afternoon
That Jesus would die on the cross for your sins
And soon later give you hope of new life by rising again!
Oh, Judas, you would have given yourself a chance
And not be in your present and eternal circumstance!
Oh, Judas, you could have heeded Jesus's call
And gone on missionary trips with Paul,
Barnabas, John Mark, and young Timothy!
God would've still used you mightily!
Oh, Judas, if you'd only understood
That all Jesus wanted for you was good!
Oh, Judas, if you'd just let Jesus give you new life,
You would have been spared from your soul-tormenting strife
That comes to all who never receive salvation!
Now you're facing nothing but condemnation!
Oh, Judas, sometimes when I think of you, I cry,
Knowing that in your sins you chose to die!
