“Why?” I cry.
“Why this?” “Why now?”
“Can somebody answer me—why?”
“What did I do that I must go through—this?”
“Where did I err that this had to occur?”
“Wherefore did I go amiss?”
“But then—I digress...”
“I confess—I know why.”
“While living life, stuff happens...”
“And yes, sometimes it happens to me.”
“But the God of all grace beholds my place.”
“Lord, You know my pain, You train my aim.”
“These troubles, these trials will only last a while.”
“And ultimately, You cause them to work for my good”
For that I cry, “God, You are faithful, worthy of my praise!”
“Me and my why’s are all wrapped up in your loving arms.”
“Hallelujah!” “Thank You Jesus!” “Bye-bye—why.”
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why
art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in
God: for I shall yet praise him, Who is the
health of my countenance, and my God.
I Owe Jesus
