“Let us not become weary of doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we don't give up.” Galatians 6:9
Lord, I get so weary sometimes. When everything I see and everything I feel inside says that I’m getting nowhere and all my trying seems useless, I'm so tempted to give up and pull back into the cave of isolation where the sting of disappointment can't reach me. But then I’d really get nowhere. I know better than to pay attention to what I see. Everything changes in this world and not only that, You have promised me a harvest. You have promised me results. You have said to me, “Be patient. Stay faithful. The dawn is coming. Only don't be weary, My love, and don't give up. My promise to you is coming without delay.” God, help me to be patient! Whisper these things in my heart when I start to feel discouraged. I know that You are at work beyond what I can see and my breakthrough could be just a heartbeat away. So no matter how I feel sometimes, I won't give up. And no matter who hard it seems, I believe that I can do nothing in vain when I am doing it for You and with faith in You. I stand upon Your Word, Your truth. I will keep doing what I know to do and keep my spirit open to Your direction. May You turn every temptation I feel toward discouragement be turn into a new surge of determination. Amen.
