30 And as the sailors were seeking to escape from the ship, when they had let down the skiff into the sea, under pretense of putting out anchors from the prow, 31 Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.”
My Beloved Brothers and Sisters, I am reminded of the above text which happens to be one of the first text that I preached from. The 27 chapter of Acts details Paul's journey to Italy as a prisoner even after he had warned them that it would be a dangerous journey in verse (10)saying, “Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.” The revelation that God gave me was the importance of the ship. The ship represents," Relation-Ship with God, Wor-Ship to God and Fellow-Ship with one another." The storms may come and the winds may blow but there is safety in the ship. Relationship with God provides an anchor for your soul in the midst of a storm. It does not matter what trials or tribulations you may be experiencing...if you stay on the ship, you will be saved. Church membership will not save you...you must have a personal relationship with God and his son Jesus Christ. Worship is the next ship you must stay in if you going to be saved (delivered). Worship is how the believer engage the enemy in warfare. King David was a mighty man of war and he also was mighty man in worship because it is instrumental in defeating the enemy. The Walls of Jericho were brought down by worship....and the walls that hinder you from your breakthrough and blessings can be brought down by worship. Fellowship is the last ship I would like you to focus on. Fellowship allows the believers to come together in the spirit of unity and to be of one mind and on one accord. Fellowship provides protection, encouragement and a threefold cord is not easily broken....Relationship, Worship and Fellowship. Look at the text what happen at the apex of the storm...... (44) and the rest, some on boards and some on parts of the ship. And so it was that they all escaped safely to land. It was the boards and some parts of the ship that allowed them to all escape safely to land. Therefore, no matter what you may be going through...Stay on the ship and you will be saved...the ship of Relationship with God, Worship to God and Fellowship with one another. Stay on the ship.....the old ship of Zion....Stay on the ship and you will be saved.....ask Noah how the ship saved him!
